It is contrindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug.

Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: recent nose problems (such as injury, ulcers, surgery), infections (including tuberculosis, herpeseye infection), certain eye problems (glaucoma, cataracts), liver disease.
Avoid contact with people who have infections that may spread to others (such as chickenpox, measles). Consult your doctor if you have been exposed to an infection or for more details.
It is unknown if this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
