It is used to treat or prevent low amounts of potassium in the blood

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug.

Liquid products may contain alcohol, sugar, or aspartame. Caution is advised if you have diabetes, liver disease, phenylketonuria (PKU), or any other condition that requires you to limit/avoid these substances in your diet.
Take potassium chloride with a full glass of water. Take the medicine with food or just after a meal.
Do not crush, chew, or suck on a tablet or capsule. Sucking on the pill could irritate your mouth or throat
